What are WhatsApp API credits?
The communication channels managed by the Meta group (Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp) operate with a 24-hour live service window, which regulates service by closing conversations without interaction from the traveler after this period.
To actively send messages when the conversation becomes closed, it is necessary to use credits through previously registered templates. Each message corresponds to one credit. Next we will explain the different ways to use these credits.

Possibilities for credit usage
Credits can be used to start conversations, send follow-ups or launch campaigns. In all these uses, each credit is equivalent to a message sent to the recipient.
After clicking start conversation on your live service panel and/or when sending a campaign, you can take note of the number of credits remaining.

Monthly credits
Monthly credits are defined according to the range of services in which your company is located. The volume of monthly calls via Whatsapp will define the amount of credits available each month. These credits are included in the Whatsapp API monthly fee.
Monthly credits are non-cumulative, with expiration dates. They expire on the last day of the month and are renewed on the first day of the month. If you change track, the number of credits available will be automatically updated according to the table above.

🔍 Note: The call volume range will change when the call volume increases or decreases by 10%.

Package Credits
Package credits are those credits acquired upon request, in the format of “single” packages. They do not have an expiration date and are made available according to the company's usage. To purchase new credits, simply click here. For billing in this context, an invoice will be generated to make the credits available on the platform.

⚠️ Attention: In practice, the platform, as a rule, will prioritize the use of monthly credits and subsequently package credits, prioritizing those that have an expiration date.
