How to Set Trigger Windows
-
Access the "Flows" menu.
-
Locate the desired flow or click on "Add Flow".
-
Click on the three dots and select "Edit Flow".
-
Add a "Wait Period" block by dragging it from the right-hand side menu to the center of the editor.
-
Click on the added block, and scroll down using your mouse to find the last option, "Custom Time Range".
-
Click the toggle button next to "Custom Time Range" to activate it.
-
In "Wait Until", select the time condition: "Next time within the range" or "Next time outside the range". This allows you to wait for the next action to occur either at the next time within the range or outside the custom time range.
-
Once these two fields are selected, you can use other options in the "Wait Period" block.
For example, you can activate the option "Specific Additional Time" for 2 hours as in the example below. In this case, AskFlow will wait for 2 hours, check whether the time meets the conditions of the selected time range, and proceed to the next action only if it complies.
For instance: if the trigger conditions were met at 4 PM, the Wait Period block had the "Specific Additional Time" option set to 2 hours, and the "Custom Time Range" option was configured for every day from 9 AM to 5 PM with the "Wait Until" option set to "Next time within the range", the message would be triggered at 9 AM the following day. -
To better identify the step, rename the block with a question reflecting the selected condition.
For example, if you chose "Next time within the range" in the "Custom Time Range", you can use "Wait Time Range". If you are waiting for a specific amount of time and a time range, you might name it "Wait 2h + Time Range". -
Click on "Save Block".
-
Adjust the block connectors, positioning the new condition where it makes sense, i.e., connect the previous block to it and the next block to be executed.
-
Finally, don’t forget to save the changes to the flow by clicking on "Save".
