It depends on the privacy settings and how Meta implements this feature. The goal is to provide a way for guests to contact the hotel without exposing its phone number in certain situations.
Example 1: If a guest has already saved the hotel's phone number and the hotel now has a username, the guest can start a conversation using either the phone number or the username.
Example 2: If a guest did not previously have the hotel's phone number, they can start a conversation using only the username.
4. Can I choose any username for my hotel?
No. The username must be unique and comply with WhatsApp's guidelines, including allowed characters and naming restrictions.
5. Can I use the same username as another hotel?
No. Each username is unique to a single hotel.
6. Can I change my username later?
