Button Management in the Questionnaire

Introduction

The Button Management feature allows you to add, remove, and reorder the buttons displayed in your hotel's chat directly through the AI Studio platform — without needing to request changes from the Asksuite support team.

With this feature, you have the autonomy to customize the traveler’s experience by choosing which buttons appear and in what order.

Types of Buttons

There are two types of buttons that can be added:

Link Button
Redirects the traveler to an external URL. Ideal for directing to links such as booking engines, menus, regulations, social media, among others.

Flow Button
Creates a new dialogue within the chat. When adding a flow button, you choose the format of the content that will be displayed:

• Text — a simple text response.
• Text with Buttons — a text response followed by new buttons.
• Carousel — a response in the form of sliding cards.

How to add a button

1. Access the hotel's questionnaire on the Activation platform.
2. Locate the question where you want to add the button.
3. In the "Buttons" section, click Add Button.
4. Choose the type of button:
   • Link: fill in the "Label" field (button name, max. 20 characters) and the "Link" field (full URL).
   • Flow: fill in the "Label" field and select the content type (Text, Text with Buttons, or Carousel).
5. Click Add.
6. Save the questionnaire.

How to remove a button

1. In the "Buttons" section of the question, locate the button you want to remove.
2. Click the trash can icon next to the button.
3. The system will display a confirmation. Type the requested word to confirm the deletion.
4. Click Remove.
5. Save the questionnaire.

Important: When removing a flow button, the dialogue associated with it will also be permanently deleted.

How to reorder buttons

1. In the "Buttons" section, use the arrows (up/down) next to each button to change its position.
2. The new order is immediately reflected in the preview.
3. Save the questionnaire to apply the change.

Automatic validation

The system automatically validates the required fields:

• Label (button name) is required for all button types.
• Link (URL) is required for Link type buttons.

If any field is empty or invalid, the system will indicate the error before allowing saving.

 

Important Notes

• Removing flow buttons is irreversible — the associated dialogue will be deleted along with the button itself.
• The character limit for the button label is 20 characters.
• Always remember to save the questionnaire after any changes.
